Flame keeps cookies to a minimum. We use them for two things only, and we never set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Here is what we use and why.

Essential

These keep you signed in and keep your account secure - they remember your session so you don't have to log in on every page, and they protect sign-in against forgery. The product simply can't work without them, so they're always on and there's nothing to turn off. They're first-party and hold no more than what's needed to recognise your session.

Analytics (optional)

With your permission, we measure how the site is used - which pages people visit and where they get stuck - so we can make it better. This is aggregate and never used to advertise to you. We don't load anything for analytics until you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can decline with no loss of functionality.

Your choices

When you first visit, you can choose "Essential only" or "Accept all". You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time - blocking the essential ones will sign you out.
